Christmas Giveaway Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions explain the rules for participating in The Wave Christmas Giveaway. Please read these carefully before entering the competition.

Promotion title The Wave Christmas Giveaway (“Promotion”)  

Promotion period 16th December 2024 to 20th December 2024 (the “Promotion Period”). 

Winner & communication One winner will be randomly selected within three working days of the end of the Promotion Period and will be contacted by The Promotor via a Direct Message on Instagram (@thewave).

How to Enter For a chance to win the prize, the entrant shall: 

  • Follow The Wave (@thewave) and the following sponsors on Instagram: @ArborSkateBoards; @RipCurl; @GoProUK; @Stanceeurope; @Futurefins; @Fcs_surf; @DryRobe 
  • Like the specified post, share the specified post to stories and tag another Instagram user in the comments of the specified post.  
  • No entry fee or purchase required. 
  1. 1. The Wave Christmas Giveaway is open to all UK residents aged 16 or over with an active Instagram account, excluding employees of The Wave or the Sponsors, their immediate families, agents, and any third party involved in administering the giveaway. 
  1. 2. Any entrant under the age of 18 must have parental consent to enter the competition. The Wave Christmas Giveaway is free to enter and entrants do not need to make any purchase. All entries must be submitted via Instagram and only one entry per person is permitted.  
  1. 3. The promotion will run from 09:00 on 16th December 2024 to 12noon on 20th December 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).  
  1. 4. The Wave accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed for any reason or for entries not successfully submitted due to any kind of technical fault. 
  1. 5. The prize will be awarded to one valid entrant randomly drawn within three working days of the end of the Promotion Period.  
  1. 6. The winner will be notified by Direct Message on Instagram (@thewave).  If the winner does not respond within 72 hours of notification, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited. The Wave be entitled to select another winner in line with the process described above. 
  1. 7. The winning entrant will receive the prize listed above. The prize must be collected from The Wave at a date/time agreed between The Wave and the winner. No shipping or postage is included in the competition.  
  1. 8. In the unlikely event that the prize (or any one or more of its constituent elements) is unavailable, The Wave reserves the right to provide a similar prize of equal or greater value.  
  1. 9. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is or will be offered.  
  1. 10. Any decision of The Wave regarding any aspect of the prize draw will be final and binding. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into about it.  
  1. 11. Personal data supplied in the course of entering The Wave Christmas Giveaway will only be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and as explicitly stated in these terms and conditions. By entering the competition, you agree to participate in publicity in relation to the competition, including sharing your name on our website and social media channels.  
  1. 12. By entering The Wave Christmas Giveaway, all participants agree to be bound by and comply with these terms and conditions. We reserve the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of any of the terms and conditions referred to above.  
  1. 13. This giveaway is in no way sponsored, administrated, or associated with Instagram, Inc. By entering, entrants confirm that they are 16+ years old of age, release Instagram of responsibility, and agree to Instagram’s terms of use.
